CLIMBING WALL
DESIGN

Opening a Gym or Climbing Space?

Our in-house wall designer, Arlen Strengers, has a keen eye for angles. With several major projects under his belt, he understands the do’s and don’ts of visualizing and designing climbing walls. With over 15 years of professional routesetting experience, he knows how to create climbing surfaces that maximize space, look great, and—most importantly—climb and set even better.

CLIMBING
HOLDS

Are you in need of holds?

We can provide full assistance in placing a hold order for your facility, tailored to your needs and the specific purpose of your wall.

With years of experience in selecting climbing holds for gyms—both large and small—we have built connections with distributors and brands.

Holds are one of the most important things to create a diverse set of climbs that also please the eye.

What we are doing

Climbing Network, our main partner, is currently constructing one of the largest climbing facilities in Europe in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. We had the honor of leading the development of the building’s core product: climbing.

This National Climbing Center (NCC) will be a professional facility covering all disciplines of climbing, serving everyone from beginners to elite athletes. The facility will also become the home training center for the TeamNL climbing team.

Walls
Every space in this gym has a different group of users and needs, this was an important starting point for wall design. Overall we try to keep the angles very minimal and keep the surfaces big and open. This allows for a better routesetting proccess

Holds
The paint on the canvas. Holds bring wooden panels to life. Our vision was clear; functionality, aesthetics and diversity. The aim was to make the walls look as inviting as they can be. We want climbers to be inspired and motivated from the moment the step into a space. To create visual impact we wanted to work with some elementary shapes, to combine them and create contrast. Furthermore we wanted to offer a wide variety of brands, shapes and styles.
